Some moments are impossible to explain unless you were there. JRUIM 2025 was one of those moments. For two days, we came together in one city, people from all over the world 🌍 ✈️ . We created something bigger than all of us, this was laughter, nerves, connection, and family vibes from the very start.
Day One: Meeting the Family
The first day was all about meeting, connecting, and feeling the energy of the jump rope family. The group games filled the room with smiles and set the tone for the whole weekend. But this year we added something no one will forget: temporary tattoos. The idea came as a playful way to mark the occasion, and it quickly turned into one of the most fun and unique parts of the event. Everyone got creative, placing tattoos on arms, legs, necks… It was a celebration of individuality, style, and the spirit of JRUIM,
Later in the day, we moved from our first location, the Central of Photography, to Serra do Pilar. On the way we made a stop at a small podium where the mic was open for anyone who felt like performing. Some jumped, some freestyled, some just shared their vibe. It was spontaneous, raw, and pure fun. A little moment that showed how free and creative this community really is.

Then came the preselection. One by one, jumpers stepped up with just 30 seconds to show who they are. Our four amazing judges, Lauren, Daysn, Dan, and Sam, stood together, not only watching skills but looking for creativity, style, and individuality. Everyone gave their best, and by the end of the day the Top 8 was ready. The tension was high, but the excitement for day two was even higher.
TOP 8:
– Fran 🇪🇸
– Dawid 🇵🇱 (selected for winning in 2024)
– Ema 🇮🇹 (selected for winning the JR Online Tournament)
– Eddie 🏴
– Carlos 🇪🇸
– Nadja 🇿🇦
– Jiri 🇨🇿
– Mérve 🇹🇷
Day Two: Meetup, Games, and BATTLES!
Day two started softer, with time to connect again. We had a little meetup in the morning where everyone could just share the vibe, followed by some fun games. One highlight was “Release It Down” where the rope had to hit cones. Simple, but so much fun and full of laughter.

In the afternoon, the mood shifted as the anticipation grew. The battles began, and the stage caught fire. They were the cherry on top of JRUIM 2025, bringing skills, creativity, unique style, and sharp responses to every move. The crowd was on fire, the livestream family was cheering from all around the globe, and every jumper gave their all.

Ema from Italy 🇮🇹, once an amateur who proved himself by winning the online title, stepped up again and took 1st place. Nadja 🇿🇦, now based in Germany, came back after last year’s final and claimed 2nd place in an intense rematch against Dawid from Poland 🇵🇱, who fought with fire and finished 3rd. Carlos from Spain 🇪🇸 showed growth and heart, making it through the quarterfinals again and landing in 4th place.
The Spirit we shared!
In the end, JRUIM 2025 wasn’t about titles or rankings. It was about family. About the feeling of being seen, the joy of connecting, and the magic of sharing a stage together.
We laughed, we stressed, we cheered, we supported each other, and we left with memories that will stay forever. Jump rope grew bigger, stronger, and closer this weekend.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. This was JRUIM 2025.
What about you? Are losing the opportunity of joining us in 2026?
